Terms of Service
1. What WritePair is
WritePair is a Chrome extension that adds an AI writing assistant to text fields on the web. The AI runs on your own device, using Chrome's built-in on-device models. We do not process, store, or transmit the text you write, select, or read. See the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
2. The free plan
The free plan is free, unlimited and requires no account. We do not meter your usage — no credits, no quotas, no word counts — and we will not introduce usage metering to the free plan. We may change which features belong to which plan; if we move a feature out of the free plan, it will not affect a purchase you have already made.
3. WritePair Pro
Pro unlocks additional features. It is sold as a monthly, annual, or two-year subscription.
- Free trial. When you first choose to use a Pro feature you can start a 7-day free trial. It requires a payment method, and the subscription begins automatically at the end of the 7 days unless you cancel before then — cancel in time and you are not charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- The two-year plan is a subscription billed once every two years, and it works out cheaper per month than any shorter term. It renews at the end of the two years unless you cancel.
- Activating Pro. A purchase is tied to the email you pay with; you activate Pro by signing in with that email, and it works across your own devices. Sharing or reselling access to a paid plan is not permitted.
4. Payment, and who you are paying
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for every purchase. Paddle is the seller: it handles payment, billing and sales tax/VAT, and your name, email and payment details are provided to Paddle, not to us. We never receive or store them. Paddle's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment.
Prices are shown before you pay and may change; a change never affects a subscription period you have already paid for.
5. Refunds
14 days, no questions asked, on any plan — in addition to the 7-day free trial before any charge at all. Refunds are processed by Paddle; contact us at support@writepair.app or through Paddle's receipt and we will action it. This is in addition to any statutory right of withdrawal you have (for example, under EU/UK consumer law).
6. Acceptable use
WritePair is a tool; what you write with it is yours and is your responsibility. Do not use WritePair to break the law, to generate content that harms other people, or to circumvent the licensing above. We may refuse or revoke a licence that is being used to do those things.
7. AI output
Suggestions are generated by an on-device model and can be wrong, biased, or unsuitable. Nothing is ever applied to your text unless you accept it, and any change can be undone. You are responsible for what you choose to keep. WritePair is provided "as is", without warranty that suggestions will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
8. Availability
WritePair depends on Chrome's built-in AI, which requires a recent Chrome version and supported hardware, and on a one-time model download. We cannot guarantee that a given device will support it. If Pro cannot run on your device at all, tell us within the refund window and we will refund you.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to WritePair is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud — and nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. You may stop using WritePair and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend a licence for a breach of section 6.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Questions: support@writepair.app.
